Who is The Turn?

The Turn is a destination to buy and sell quality second hand designer apparel, footwear and bags. Our platform provides a luxury shopping experience alongside a valet consignment service.

How do I find the status of my delivery?

Log into your The Turn account online. Go to your My Purchases page and click the order number that contains the item(s) you would like to track. Review the shipping formation and track the purchase via your tracking number.

I forgot my password, what do I do?

Please go to your login screen, click 'forgot password' and follow the prompts. If this does not resolve the issue please email help@theturn.com.au

How do I update my credit card details?

The Turn does not store credit card details, if you need to update the credit card information retained by ShopPay, then in the checkout screen click on the arrow next to the payment details. This allows you to enter a different card or to delete the card information retained.

How do I update my address details?

In the checkout page there is a "ship to" address listed. If you wish to add a different address click the arrow next to this box and enter the new address. Alternatively in your account login page there is an address section where you can enter a new address, update your address, or delete an old address.

How does consignment work?

The Turn provides a valet consignment service. Consigning with The Turn provides a hassle free way to sell your lightly worn clothes. All you need to do is list the items you would like to sell and request a prepaid courier bag. Once you receive your courier bag pop your items in it and drop it at your local post office. We take care of the rest! We endeveavour to make it as easy and hassle free as possible for you.

How much money will I make from my consignment item?

Every item is priced using a formula based on brand, condition and original pricepoint. We endeavour to sell your item at the highest possible price. For items that are sold for less than $100 you receive 20%. Items sold between $100-$200 you receive 40%. Items sold between $200-$800 you will receive 60%. Items sold for $800 + you will receive 80%.

When will I get paid?

Once we have successfully sold your item it takes 30 days before we automatically credit your nominated account. This covers the time it might take for a customer to return the item.

Do you accept anything?

No. The Turn is looking to consign good quality designer women’s fashion, shoes, and handbags. We do not take children’s clothing or men’s wear. We only accept a specific brand list, and we take items that are free from stains, rips, repairs, or that are heavily worn.

Why was my item rejected?

The Turn has strict quality control. Items are rejected if they do not meet our quality standards. All items must be in good condition with no damage, stains, missing buttons or heavy wear. Please check carefully before consigning your items.

How do I return an item?

If your item fits within the returns period and terms. Go to your My Purchases page and click the order number that contains the item you would like to return. Click Return next to all items you would like to return. Fill out and submit the requested return information, and a confirmation screen with your number will appear. You will also receive a confirmation email. Please follow the instructions provided in the email to complete your return.

What is The Turn's return policy?

As per section 10, e of our Website T&Cs, please note that everything on our website is provided to you on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranty or condition of any kind and we do not make any express or implied representation or warranty about any products or services (including the products or Purchase Services of Uturn Digital) referred to on the Website. Change of mind refunds are not permitted. Please allow several days to process a return. All returns need to be back with us thirty days after purchase. The customer will pay for return shipping.

My item is lost / hasn't arrived; what do I do now?

In the event that an item is lost or damaged in the course of the Delivery, Uturn Digital asks that you: Contact us by sending an email to help@theturn.com.au outlining in what way the Products were damaged in transit, receipt or order number, date of purchase, product description and price paid. Uturn Digital will reply with the actions taken to resolve the matter such as contacting the Delivery Service, providing a refund or replacement.

How do we handle your clothes?

All items consigned to The Turn are handled with the utmost care. Upon arrival your items are checked once the and entered into our system. Each item is barcoded with your unique identification number and tracked internally.

How do we price your items?

Our pricing is dynamic and based on market trends and industry knowledge.
Our goal is to sell your items at the highest price in an effective timeframe.
All items are unique and one of a kind. Some items may look alike however each item is checked and graded for brand, quality, and condition and the priced accordingly.

Brand
Quality designer brands tend to retain their value over time and yield a higher resale price-point.

Item Condition

All items are graded on their condition when they are processed at The Turn and the better the condition the higher the resale will be.
There are four categories,
• Brand new with tags – no signs of wear and includes original swing tags,
• Barely worn – perfect condition but excludes swing tags,
• Excellent – very good condition light wear,
• Acceptable – general signs of wear
Any specific flaws are noted in the condition description of the item to add transparency and reduce returns.

Trend and Seasonality

Using internal and external data and knowledge of trends and seasonality the prices are adjusted. Typically, in season items sell at a higher price.

What happens if my items do not sell?

If your items do not sell via consignment you can request these to be shipped back to you. Or alternatively opt to have your item recycled.
